Some people suggest massage to get relief from hyperacusis, as massage helps in the circulation of blood, provides psychological relief, and induces sleep.

Hyperacusis refers to a condition when a person can’t tolerate any sound. People suffering from hyperacusis, feel pain in their ears by any sound. This vulnerable disease can attack anyone through various ways. Some people develop hyperacusis over a longer period whether some one gets that after hearing a heavy sound. Apart from that, there are other reasons which can create hyperacusis e.g. severe headache, ear irrigation, adverse drug reaction, Williams syndrome, Autism, Bell’s palsy, Asperger syndrome, minor head injury, chronic ear infections and others. In this modern era, medical science has advanced a lot. As a result, there are several ways to cure hyperacusis. But there are some natural procedures through which one can get healed from hyperacusis. Massage is one of them.

Massage is a special kind of manipulation of the soft tissues of the body. It aims to fulfill any physical, functional, mechanical and emotional goals. It can be obtained through structured, unstructured, stationary and moving pressure, tension, motion or vibration. It can be done manually or with mechanical aid. The massages are applied at muscles, tendons, ligaments, skin, joints, connective tissue, lymphatic vessels and organs of the gastrointestinal system. Massages are performed with hands, fingers, elbows, forearm and feet. Massage helps to reduce stress. It also helps to activate the obsolete cells. It helps to circulate blood freely. But it should be kept in mind that massage can bring only a temporary relief to the patients of hyperacusis. This is not the complete answer to hyperacusis. Patients of hyperacusis can take massage according to the prescription of a registered medical practitioner.
